If you are installing a blower for the first time, a blower kit may be required. Replacement blowers are intended to replace worn or defective blowers and do not include the components of a full blower kit. The RCFK blower makes a great universal replacement blower when space is available or replacing large single assembly discontinued blowers. Most aftermarket and OEM blowers use lesser quality sleeve bearing blowers. Sleeve bearings tend to wear quicker than their ball bearing counterparts, which frequently increases the noise the blower produces over its lifetime. Sleeve bearings also require additional maintenance and may also be more susceptible to dirt and heat. FireplaceBlowersOnline.com uses nothing but 100% sealed ball bearing blowers, which we have found to last longer and outperform cheaper sleeve bearing blowers. There are usually three bearings in any blower assembly. Two motor bearings and one outside or end cap bearing. All 3 bearings in a FireplaceBlowersOnline.com blower are of the sealed ball bearing type. Sealed ball bearings require no additional maintenance, are less prone to the effects of heat, and will operate more quietly over their full lifetime. Be careful when purchasing a less expensive blower on eBay, Amazon or through one of our competitors. Many will put it on the market the usage of ball bearings, but almost all the time use low quality sleeve bearing assemblies.
